SUMMARY: LAID BACK GROOVES
This chilled out track is classic Tom Misch! Interesting chords, pentatonic lead lines and beautiful phrasing. In this lesson we'll be going through the laid back feel of the song, the modal interchange and more!

CHORDS: FUNKY JAZZ!
We'll kick off with chords. These are fragments of chords, as the different instruments are doing different parts of the chords. If you are playing by yourself then you may want to fill out the chords below to the full shapes, but if you want to play exactly as Tom Misch does, follow these shapes.

THE LEAD: G MAJOR
For this lead part, we are using the G major pentatonic around the 4th shape. We have provided all the shapes below so that you can see them in context. The thing to remember with this guitar line is that it's extremely laid back, right at the back of the beat. There are some tricky slide ideas as well that will really advance your lead playing if you can get them right.
