We lovingly call this piece Reda Ru, after two of our inspirations The Reda Troupe and Hahbi Ru. This piece was composed and choreographed (and edited) by Baksana director, Danielle Elizabeth.
Movement inspiration primarily from Egyptian Raqs Sharqi and Baladi styles of dance with moments of Kahleegi and Algerian styles of dance. Drum rhythm is called "Karachi" and is played on a Derbekki / Egyptian Tabla. Finger Cymbals are called "Sagaat" in Arabic and "Zils" in Turkish.
