Christmas in JULY! Santa's Leather Belt Holiday Cold Process Soap Making with Sculpted Layers

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus lane!

It's Christmas in July, and what better time to post the videos I never got to during the holiday season? After all, soapmakers do need to plan things in advance and many of you want to follow along with these when using my Soap Stencil tools.

Introducing to you Santa's Leather Belt... I mean, it has to be made of leather, right? This soap developed glycerin rivers in the mid section, adding little lines and squiggles to the black portion of the bars. This only affects the aesthetic part of the design, and is usually something that I try avoid. But they work here and add an interesting element to the bars, so I'll go ahead and pretend that they were planned.

These bars smell like a popular holiday candle from Yankee, with notes of Siberian fir, pine, and juicy oranges. Yum!

There are still a few bars of this soap available for purchase in my shop, and they have an even better lather and longevity now due to the extra long cure they've had. The fragrance, too, still smells just as good today as it did when I first cut into them!
