I've played that over a bassless track, so you are only hearing my bass in this video.
It's time for The Cure again. This time, I'm going back to their second album (first according to Robert Smith) and the gothic rock anthem, "A Forest."
It's a very simple song in which the bass plays a predominant role, with that repetitive rhythm that transfers the solidity it needs between synthesizers and ethereal guitars.
It's a constant, syncopated Am rhythm with the drums changing in the chorus and finally, followed by a few licks.
