"A common thread that we're seeing in many business success stories which we believe is responsible for much of it, is webinars, otherwise known as point to multi-point web video conferencing.

Running a successful webinar is a 4-phase process, and so in today's video I'd like to touch upon phrase 1, "preparation".

I don't mean the best way to prepare your content. You're the best expert on that for your particular business. And I'm not talking about your sales message - perhaps a topic for another video or blog series.

Depending on the webinar service you use, you may be able to run pre-recorded videos, Powerpoint or Keynote presentations, share your computer screen or even show yourself on a webcam.

If you're comfortable with being in front of a camera, a good place to start is a webcam view so your audience knows who is talking. Then switch to Keynote slides for your content presentation. Just think about which medium works best for your specific message.

As to the actual mechanics of running a live stream meeting, the clear winning platform has to be a Google Hangout. The reason I say that is because unlike other webinar and interactive web video conferencing services, Hangouts are backed by a solid dependable company, so you don't need to worry about servers crashing or recordings failing.
