Beautiful Plaid Cap Sleeves Baby Frock | Easy Cutting & Stitching Tutorial

Welcome to today’s sewing tutorial! In this video, we will learn how to make a beautiful plaid baby frock with ruffled cap sleeves and floral embellishments. This dress is perfect for little girls, and it’s very easy to make at home. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Fabric Cutting
• Take 1 meter of plaid cotton fabric and fold it neatly.
• Cut the bodice piece according to the baby’s measurements.
• Cut the skirt portion, making it twice the bodice width for a gathered effect.
• Cut two cap sleeve pieces, allowing extra fabric for ruffles.
• Cut two shoulder straps to attach later.

Step 2: Preparing the Bodice
• Fold the neckline and armholes and stitch them neatly.
• Attach the shoulder straps to the front and back of the bodice.

Step 3: Making Ruffled Cap Sleeves
• Take the sleeve pieces, fold the edges, and stitch a gathering line to create ruffles.
• Attach the ruffled sleeves to the armholes carefully.

Step 4: Attaching the Skirt
• Sew a loose stitch along the top of the skirt piece and pull the thread to create gathers.
• Attach the gathered skirt to the bodice with a straight stitch for a neat finish.

Step 5: Adding Decorative Details
• Stitch small flower embellishments on the front bodice for a stylish touch.
• Finish the hemline with a clean stitch to complete the dress.
