At the end of October the weather was finally in my favour for a fall paddle at Rockwood Conservation area in southern Ontario. I found out later the Grand River damn was opened a few days earlier, making the water here three feet more shallow than I was expecting. But it was still pretty! No harm, no foul. Adventure!
