Recently, there has been a sudden surge of activity in the BJD party. Today, a meeting of women leaders was held at the party office, Shankha Bhavan. Around 22 women leaders participated and discussed organizational matters for a long time. Senior leader Pramila Mallik stated that the discussion was mainly about the organization. Before the meeting, leaders like Sulochana Deo visited Naveen Patnaik’s residence to meet him. When asked about whether Sujata Raut Karthikeyan could be the successor of the party, Pramila Mallik said she had no information. Snehanagni Chhuria added that any decision on leadership change will be taken by Naveen himself.
