Ismat Chugtai, an Indian novelist, known for her bold writings about women and their issues became a literary icon at the time. Along with Manto, she was part of the progressive writers movement and ever since partition has written stories about the same and the trauma of leaving one’s land.
Prof.Naqvi delves into some of her well-known short stories and novels to give our audiences a glimpse of Ismat’s work and life.
