Woodturning - Golden (Brown) Delicious Apple

Perseverance is a vase turned from locally-sourced apple wood. It derives its name from a very long day in Lathe Corner (a saga involving several prior pieces that had to be abandoned due to defects in the wood). After turning the exterior shape, the interior was hollowed, then coloured with Chestnut Products' Ebonizing Lacquer. The completed vase was then finished with several nourishing applications of tung oil.

diameter: 3¼ inches / about 8 centimetres at its widest point
