The picture is almost clear for the Bharatiya Janata Party’s new national president. BJP is set to enter a new organisational phase as Nitin Nabin, considered a trusted and loyal leader of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is likely to be elected unopposed as the party’s next national president.

After serving as the working president, Nitin Nabin’s elevation now seems certain. At just 46 years of age, he is expected to become one of the youngest BJP national presidents. The official announcement is likely on January 20, after completion of election formalities.

Sources suggest his team will reflect a balanced mix of youth, experience, social representation and regional diversity, keeping in mind the roadmap till the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. Several new faces from eastern and north-eastern states may also get space in the organisation.
