Continuing from last week's episode, this one is similar to GOPHERSET but it's designed to provide on-demand covert geolocation of target handsets. The National Security Agency (NSA) had codenamed this backdoor, or software implant using NSA's terminology, as MONKEYCALENDAR and, at least until 2008, it hadn't been deployed for operational use. It was designed for highly targeted operations, known in NSA as tailored access operations.
