Cycling "Le Tour de Bougogne" in 6 days - The Start
In May 2024 I cycled the "Tour de Bourgogne a Velo" in the Burgundy region of France.
A very pleasant ride and perfect for people who want to avoid the "hassle" of the transportation of bicycle and cyclist back to the starting point of a tour
I stayed in hotels for 2 nights and camped for 3 nights.
Highlights:
Cycling infrastructure
Availability of eating / sleeping / shopping options
Mostly easy cycling, a bit more strenuous in the stretch from Beaune to Paray le Monial
Beautiful gentle scenery, specially in the wine region after Baune.
This first video on this trip is about the drive from my home in the Netherlands to the point on the route where I started: Brienon-sur-Armançon. And about the first 60 km I rode along the Canal du Bourgogne toward Pacy-sur-Armançon. Enjoy!!
