A short prelude in C minor composed by Johann Rinck (18 February 1770 – 23 July 1846). Rinck studied with Johann Christian Kittel (1732–1809), who himself was a pupil of Johann Sebastian Bach, and eventually became kantor at the music school in Darmstadt, Germany where he was also a court organist from 1813. Rinck was a prolific composer who, in addition to more advanced and sophisticated works, wrote many of these short pieces that can be found in various old organists' handbooks of the 19th century. They were a kind of stock-in-trade for church organists.
This particular piece can be found in Bungart's Praludien-Album, which is freely available on IMSLP.org.
Sample set by Augustine's Virtual Organs.
