Why They Call Him "Angel of Death"

How Philza gained his nickname.

Since there are a lot of new fans (especially those who joined via QSMP) who might not know much about SMP Earth, and since Phil pretty much canonised SMP Earth as part of his character's backstory on the QSMP, I felt like this was an important clip to share again.

This was the conclusion of the Dragon Egg War, which Wilbur had started by stealing the dragon egg from Phil and Sneeg by tricking Phil into letting him hold it "for the achievement" and then logging off with the egg. Phil swore to return the egg to Sneeg no matter what.

I'm not gonna explain the whole thing (and I didn't see the whole thing myself either) but it ended with Phil kidnapping Wilbur's dog, Pee Dog, and holding him hostage in exchange for the egg, leading to a tense negotiation between Newfoundland (represented by Wilbur and Sophie) and the Antarctic Empire (represented by Phil, Pete and Techno, although Techno was kinda just chilling that day).

Wilbur tried to run once again with the egg, even after Sophie had done their best to convince him to give it up to save Pee Dog. Unfortunately for Wilbur, the factions mod settings forbid him from placing down a minecart in enemy territory, slowing down his escape, and Phil easily caught up to him by flying after him and killed him with a maneuver that Techno described as swooping down "like an angel of death", in what was probably the most anime moment of the entire series. And that was the origin of that badass nickname.

(The Antarctic Empire ended up handing Pee Dog over to Sophie. They decided Wilbur didn't deserve him. Honestly that was the right call, since Sophie definitely loved and cared for Pee Dog more than Wilbur ever did.)
