Fort Madison River & Rail Weekend Railfanning - 2 & 3 OCT 2021

On October 1-3, 2021 was River & Rail Weekend for Fort Madison and some of the surrounding communities. The event was promoted by Virtual Railfan, and many of the folks associated with VRF, as well as numerous cam viewers, came to visit Fort Madison.

These are the trains I caught while I was there. Saturday I spent in various spots at and around the old Santa Fe depot, which is being renovated to become the new Amtrak depot in Fort Madison, supposedly later this year (December, from what I heard). Sunday I spent the morning and early afternoon by the Fort Madison bridge, then went with UP Dave over to the 35th St overpass on the west end of BNSF's Fort Madison yard.
