We've got CW songs about David (as performed live in Baltimore), Jesus (as at Newport Folk Festival, also known as Emperor VIII in Shades), and Noah (as performed here). David, Jesus and Noah are some of the bigger dawgs in the Bible scene. Big players, heavy hitters and such. CW Bible record soon? Sequel to the bible? The Newer Testament?
Noah stood beside his pigs
as they watched the moon get big,
watched the rain start coming down,
watched the other pigs all drown.
Noah thanked God for the rain
that washed those evil pigs away.
Noah stood beside his horses,
they watched the flooding of the corpses.
The horses wished for corn and sun.
The horses wished to roll, and to run.
Noah only kneeled down and prayed
for another night of rain.
Noah stood beside his wife
as the wind gnarled like a knife.
She said ‘once the world is rid of lovers,
let’s share the whole world with each other’.
But Noah’s eyes sparkled and they shone,
and he said ‘the world’s gonna be mine alone’.
Noah stood beneath the sky.
He heard children sing, and sigh.
He watched the sun shine up above,
he watched wild animals making love.
And Noah looked at God and said,
‘if you really love me,
flood the world again’.
