In this video I talk about what to do when your horse reverts backwards from good behavior to something that isn't good or safe. This is almost always due to fear and should be dealt with carefully and with patience and care. Dealing with situations like this in frustration or anger which generally comes from equal fear, can send the horse backwards even further and delay the change you're hoping for.

In this example I work with the horse to just get him haltered. It's the initial haltering that he has trouble with, once haltered he leads great and comes along well. So, I talk and walk through everything I did as this video is completely uncut from the original shot of it. This way you can see the steps I would take to get a horse to come to me and be with me before haltering.
