Comic trades are notoriously hard to make. This one was unusual in that it started out with someone claiming thousands of dollars worth of my comics, followed by me suggesting that he can offer up a part of his collection in trade rather than paying out in cash. He was more than fine with this since he was looking to downsize his comic collection (which I knew) since space was getting tight and entire runs of comic series take up a lot of room. In the end I ended up with long runs of comics, and had 190 comics worth pressing, over 6 long boxes of comics that will sell well in back issue bins, and about 6 long boxes of dollar bin comics. When it comes to trades the conventional wisdom is that the person getting the highest value items wins, but in this case I think I did very well in a trade that was appealing to both of us for different reasons.
