When Doce Pares Eskrima meets Inosanto Kali magic happens. In this video we look back to the first joint seminar with David Bertrand (inosanto kali) and Marcel van Dongen (Doce Pares eskrima).
Filipino Martial Arts are a big family with many styles. Inosanto kali and Doce Pares kali are two world styles that blend perfect together. This became clear during the first joint seminar of David Bertrand and Marcel van dongen, so exchanging knowledge was a positive and a rich experience.

The result was a great seminar with a great vibe and nice people and atmosphere. During the seminar, David Bertrand and Marcel van Dongen not only shared techniques and methods from Inosanto kali and Doce Pares Eskrima. The participants also learned more about the history and the ideas that Dan Inosanto and SGM Diony Canete had as grandmasters of these two world famous filipino martial arts styles. We look forward to the next one. That will cover, pangamot, panantukan, silat, jun fan grappling and shootfighting.

David is a certified instructor in Filipino Martial Arts by Guro Dan Inosanto. He also received a black belt (ikut) in Maphilindo Silat at the Inosanto Academy in Los Angeles. Not only does he give seminars at Mastro Defence System together with Fred Mastro. He has also been training and giving seminars in different countries, including the Fillipines, Malaysia and Indonesia. David also has been practising and studying muay thai and muay boran in Thailand. He is the founder of the Jeet Academy where he teaches different arts such as Jeet Kune Do, Sanda and MMA.

Marcel van Dongen is the head of Doce Pares Netherlands certified by SGM Diony Canete and Jeet kune do instructor. During the more 30 years he has been teaching he trained over a 1.000 students in his own school M.A.T.C.H. and during international seminars. Marcel started his Martial arts career with Judo and jiu jitsu where he got his black belt, after that shootfighting and finally he entered the world of Jeet kune do and Filipino Martial Arts. These styles of Martial arts had it all. Now it's his mission to show every one the beauty of these dynamic and effective forms of Martial arts.
