Thank god the catastrophic failure was easily repairable. I have no proof of what went wrong but knowing what I did I am pretty sure I did it properly but will have to take the L on it. Not much I can do about it now.
Taking baby steps to fix up my worn out Toyota Century. Got it new hood struts, aligned from the front suspension work and testing that the air ride works with the controller it came with.
