Dr. Ghadir sits down with new parents, actor and star of former hit tv show Modern Family, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband, lawyer/cofounder of the organization @pronounorg, Justin Mikita. Justin and Jesse dive into what life is like at home as new dads to baby Beckett, the challenges of parenthood, how they chose an egg-donor and surrogate, whether they want more children, and what it was really like parenting a newborn during a pandemic. Dr. Ghadir relates to the new fathers, as they all agree that being a parent is the most difficult job in the world. The couple also gets real with Dr. Ghadir about the many ups and downs in their relationship, from Justin studying for the bar exam in the early days of dating, to trying to become parents via surrogate, and how their large age difference played a role in how differently they saw themselves in a relationship and ultimately as parents.
