R for Authoring Open Office Hours

Join every Tuesday from 7:00-8:00 Eastern as we explore authoring capabilities executed fully within "data analysis" platforms. Ask questions about your own projects or just learn about possibilities!

This week we'll step back and take a 10,000-foot perspective on Quarto, the "next generation" R Markdown platform that enables publication-ready documents, dashboards, slide decks, websites, etc. We've been using Quarto extensively within these weekly sessions, but this week we'll pull back and give it a broad overview for anyone who hasn't yet jumped onboard the Quarto train.

No prior experience with R is needed for these weekly live coding sessions - just curiosity and and open mind.

The weekly sessions are titled, "R for Authoring" (or, sometimes, "R is for Authoring"), although we're not technically (mostly) authoring with "R", but rather plain text supported by markdown and/or LaTeX within processors purportedly intended to process (primarily) quantitative data, but that's okay because...
