Installing Hall Effect Sticks on a Dualshock 4 controller (wasn't easy)

In this video we will look replace the Alps analog stick with Hall effect sticks. Hall effect stick have within the last year or so become more popular as alternative to the regular Alps sticks since it uses little magnets inside the potentiometer instead of a mechanical piece. This should significantly reduce wear and possibly eliminate stick drift from ever happening. It also helps that calibration can be done on these sticks.

So short term it is looking good, but what about long term? Can these hall effect lasts for years to come? That is why I wanted to install these sticks on one on my own controllers and use it on a regular basis to see if problems may occur or not.
