On April 28th, 2012, the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, California hosted Union Pacific Family Days. Arguably the most exciting part of the event was the debut of UP E8A number 942 after having gone through a full restoration by the museum. 942 looks like new as she shows off her fantastic new UP Yellow and grey paint job. First, you will see a few roll bys of the 942 with the UP passenger car consist along with a few shots of the normal demonstration railway excursion train, pulled by (also recently restored) Southern Pacific U25-B "U Boat" 3100. Finally, hop aboard UP caboose 25129 for a trip on the demonstration railway at the museum as seen from the cupola of the caboose.
