In 2024, the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad restored three telegraphone booths. These booths were brought to the Ed Lowrance Car Restoration Facility, where rotten wood, damaged roofs, and other problems were fixed. After all the repairs were made, the booths were painted. The railroad will return these three booths to their original Big Horn, Mud Tunnel, and Rock Tunnel sites.
