Driver's View: Scenic Drive from Christchurch to Akaroa via Lyttelton, New Zealand 🇳🇿

Today we drive the Scenic Route from Christchurch to Akaroa in New Zealand, across the Banks Peninsula with its eroded remnants of two large volcanoes and the breathtaking scenery along the way!!! 🛑Please Subscribe➤http://bit.ly/-STV

We start the drive in largest city on the South Island, Christchurch (Māori: Ōtautahi), and drive through the suburb of Redcliffs and Sumner before we cross the Evans Pass and descend down to the Town of Lyttelton on the north shore of Lyttelton Harbour/Whakaraupō.
From the Town of Lyttelton we follow the shoreline of Lyttelton Harbour, cross the Gebbies Pass, drive down to State Highway 75 and follow SH75 to the Town of Little River.
About 10 minutes after leaving the Town of Little River, we turn left onto the Summit Road which is a narrow and winding scenic road that follows the Crater Rim of an extinct volcano.
We arrive in the Town of Akaroa after a total drive time of 2 Hour 50 Minutes.
Akaroa is a small tourist town on Banks Peninsula in the Canterbury Region of the South Island of New Zealand, situated on the shore of Akaroa Harbour. The name Akaroa is Kāi Tahu Māori for "Long Harbour", which would be spelled Whangaroa in standard Māori
