A slow burning SF mystery following the investigation of a drained atomic power plant, a nuclear physicist's death, and his invention of micro-temporal translation for a modern chemistry textbook he wished to send to ancient Greeks so as to accelerate their civilization.
Originally published in the January 1949 issue of Astounding Stories magazine, which re-produced it in their June 1950 issue, carrying the same cover art and stories. It made one more magazine appearance in the October 1973 issue of an Italian publication called Urania. Anthology appearances in clude: A World of Wonder in 1951, A Science Fiction Argosy in 1972, and The Future I in 1981. Its first appearance in a collection of the author's stories was The Early Asimov in 1972.
