Capital Kitchen carbon steel WOK 30 cm (pre-seasoned) from Stevens in New Zealand

I am cooking two eggs separately and a fried rice to show you that this wok has now developed a nice patina (non-stick) layer. Capital Kitchen wok.

This wok is already pre-seasoned and has a five-year warranty. Since it is already pre-seasoned, the main 'hard' work is already done which means I did not need a high-powered burner to season it for the very first time; hence my small butane camping cooker is sufficient to do the regular seasoning at medium heat.

I bought this wok from Stevens, The Crossing in Tauriko, New Zealand on 8 Apr 2025.
I love this wok but a little too heavy being handled with one hand since I am a small girl.

To use the wok for the first time, follow these steps:
1. Wash with soap and warm water, use sponge or anything non-scratch.
2. Dry the wok inside and outside.
3. Turn on the burner on medium heat, place wok on top.
4. Wait for light smoke to appear.
5. Put oil in and spread it around.
6. Ready to cook, put your food in.
7. Clean after use, see the video.

The Capital Kitchen carbon steel cookware is currently on special at Stevens until 30 Apr 2025. They have wok of 30 cm and 35 cm diameter; frypan 26 cm and 30 cm and a couple of others.

I bought the 26 cm frypan today 19 Apr 2025 as it is lighter than the wok.
