1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo 5-Speed | MOTORVAULT

The Datsun and Nissan Z cars are cemented in automotive history with their great looks, global appeal, and zippy performance. Introduced in 1969 as the 240Z, the first Z car took the world by storm as it became Japan's first mass-produced sports car. All throughout the 1970's and early 1980's under the Datsun name, the Z car won over the hearts of many. By 1983, a rebrand and redesign of the beloved car occurred, as the brand changed to Nissan and the model evolved into the 300ZX. While performance increased and sales were strong, the 300ZX was still based on the prior 280ZX chassis. This all changed in 1989 when the 300ZX was completely redesigned and modernized. Groundbreaking looks, DOCH & VVT added to the throaty V6, optional Twin Turbo, and many other new features set the new 300ZX apart from many cars in its class.

This particular 300ZX is fitted with the highly desirable 5-speed manual transmission and Twin Turbo V6 that produces 300 horsepower and 283 TF/LB of torque. The healthy V6 launches the Z from 0-60 mph in under 6-seconds, a full second faster than the standard 1990 Corvette! Presented in Platinum Mist Metallic over Charcoal interior, this Z comes factory equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, power mirrors, leather seats, and dual mode suspension.

The silver 300ZX was originally delivered to its first owner in Orland Park, IL in March of 1990. The vehicle remained with the first owner through June of 1992, when the second owner from Justice, IL purchased it with 8,262 miles. The vehicle was then traded and later sold to the third and most recent owner through Highline Motors in Indianapolis, IN in May of 1998 with 21,591 miles. The Z has remained garaged in Indianapolis since. In November of 2022, MOTORVAULT brought the 300ZX up to date with service, making the car road worthy for its next enthusiast owner.
