Crocheted Cable Hat/Beanie

Hi there,
I will be showing you how to crochet this cabled beanie,hat. I do the beginning part with you all the way as the beginning is a bit tricky but the rest is fairly easy :)

CROCHETED CABLE HAT

1st cable over 4 stitches = skip 2 stitches, 1 fptr in each of the next 2 posts, 1 fptr in each of the 2 missed posts

2nd cable = 1 fptr in each of the back two posts, 1fptr in each of the next 2 front post

increase cable = 2 fptr in each of the back two posts, 2dc inbetween the new 4fptr's and the 2 fptr in the front, 2fptr in each of the 2 front posts

Bernat Softee Baby yarn size 3 light, antique white 4.25mm/G

1. Ch 3, ss into 1st
2. Ch3, 8dc in the circle, ss into 3rd ch
3. ch3, 1dc in the same place, 2dc in each of the next 8dc = 18dc, ss into beg st
4. ch3, 1dc in next st, 1st cable, 1 dc in each of the next 2dc, 1cable, 1dc in each of the next 2dc, 1cable, ss into beg st
5. ch3, 1dc in next st, increase cable, 1dc in each of the next 2 dc, increase cable, 1dc in each of the next 2 dc, increase cable, ss into 1st st
6. ch3, 1dc in the next dc,* 1st cable, 1dc in each of the next 2dc,* repeat between the stars, till you have all 6 cables complete, ending with a cable, ss into 1st st
7. ch3, 1dc in next dc,* increase cable, 1dc in each of the next 2dc, 2nd cable, 1dc in each of the next 2dc* rep between stars to end ending with 2nd cable ss into 1st st
8. ch3, 1dc in the next dc, 1st cable, 1dc in each of the next 2dc rep between stars so you have 9 cables, ss into 1st st.
9. ch3, 2dc in the next dc,* 2nd cable, 2dc in the next dc, 1dc in the next dc, 2nd cable, 2dc in the next dc, 1dc in the next dc, increase cable, 2dc in the next dc, 1dc in the next dc* rep to end, ending with increase cable, ss into 1st st = 12 cables
10. ch3, 1dc in each of the next 2dc, *1st cable, 2dc in the next dc, 1dc in the next dc, * ending with 1st cable, ss into 1st st
11. ch3, 1dc in each of the next 2dc, *2nd cable, 2dc in the next dc, 1dc in the next dc, * ending with 2nd cable, ss into 1st st
12. Repeat row 10 and 11 to the length you want.
Once your hat is as long as you want it before you add your last ribbing = 6.5 to 6.75 inches
Ending on the 2nd cable part where you skip 2 you can start ribbing.
Ch3,* fpdc, bpdc* repeat this to end
