Training 5* Horses and Young Horses with Susie Berry

We caught up with Racesafe Rider Susie Berry at her Northamptonshire base as she prepares for this year’s Badminton Horse Trials. With her talented entry, Clever Trick, we got an inside look at her training progress leading up to the big event.

We also met Purple Rain—or Poker to his friends—a promising 5-year-old gearing up for his first-ever event this weekend. Susie shared the differences in training approaches between a seasoned 5* horse and a young, inexperienced prospect.
