Černý Most (popularly Čerňák) is an urban district and cadastral territory in the northeastern part of Prague, in the territory of the Prague 14 municipal district. Černý Most consists almost entirely of prefabricated housing estates and also includes the shopping center Centrum Černý Most, which provides for, among others, the Cinestar multiplex cinema, the Globus hypermarket and almost 200 shops, IKEA and XXXLutz. The district has two B metro line stations, Rajská Zahrada and the final station, Černý Most. The green belt in the middle of the estate is called the Černý Most Central Park.

The name Černý Most, with its historical significance, is a testament to the area's past. It originated from the local name of the former stone bridge over the railway line to Čelákovice, blackened by smoke from steam locomotives. The stone bridge was demolished in 1924 and replaced by a concrete bridge in the same year, which also no longer exists, and only the torso of one side of the approach has survived. The torso is located near the present bridge over the railway, which leads to Hutě and Satalice. The street in the Hutě part of Kyje, which connects to this bridge, has been called "Behind the Black Bridge" since the early 1970s.3 The final tram station (today Lehovec) was called "Hloubětín, Černý most" or "Black Bridge" from its opening on the 30th of June 1976 until the opening of the IV.B section of the metro on the 8th of November 1998. At the end of the 1970s, a prefabricated housing estate, which was built on the "green field" east of Broumarská Street, began to be referred to as "Černý Most I"; in the second half of the 1980s, another housing estate was referred to as "Černý Most II" and in 1987 the cadastral area of Černý Most was created for these estates. In 1998, the name Černý Most was given not to the metro station closest to the former Černý Most (which is called Rajská zahrada), but to the final station, which is about 1.6 kilometres east of the former Černý Most.
The cadastral area of Černý Most was created in 1987 by a decision of the National Council of the National Assembly at the expense of the existing cadastral areas. Horní Počernice, Kyje, and Hloubětín within the Prague 9 municipal district.

The Černý Most housing estate, built in several stages, is a unique sight. Černý Most I completed in 1980, boasts approximately 1,780 flats. Since 1985, the individual buildings of Černý Most II have been gradually constructed, with a total of about 7,270 flats after the completion of the 5th building. Originally, the streets in the Černý Most II housing estate, which was built between 1985 and 1992, were to be named after foreign communist officials, mainly from the USSR (e.g. Pyatnitsky, Voznesensky, Kuznetsov). The streets were marked with signs only briefly, and in 1991, in the context of the political changes after November 1989, they were renamed after Czechoslovak airmen (e.g., Kpt. Stránského, Bryksova, Gen. Janoušek) who served in the foreign resistance during World War II, mainly in Great Britain (RAF) and before that in France.
Now, the housing development, together with the shopping and entertainment center Černý Most and the newly built IKEA store, gradually fill the entire space between Kyje in the west and Horní Počernice in the east.
