HARS celebrates Australia Day with a massive fly-past. Enjoy this great mixture of sight & sounds as our historic military aircraft, plus a chopper, fire up in sync at Shellharbour Regional Airport for a quick run over a large beach party at the mouth of massive Lake Illawarra celebrating Australia's national day on 26 January. Leading the pack was our distinctive turbo-powered ex-RAAF Lockheed Orion long-range surveillance aircraft, a modern-day legend. Then, our wing-stretching ex-RAN Grumman Tracker followed by our just-flying-again ex-RAAF Lockheed Neptune -- with some unique video out its front nose. A start-up and pilot's eye view of one of 'Daks' (Dakotas, or DC3/C47) and then our former RAN Bell UH-1B brought up the rear. What a day.
