We sang it in choir Sunday. It was a slow two. The conductor had to beat it in 4 to keep every one on track. the Women needed a good breath after the refrain before starting their featured verse. One accidental here, one little article word there... And now it's in 4/4 time, with four three extra measures. The tempos are adjusted (upwards), and every little jot and tittle seem to be properly placed--in the much more manageable key of E minor (from is original published version from 1991 in F minor and 2/ time). I hope you like it (better). HAPPY ADVENT---and if ever there was a hymn that's an Advent hymn--this it is!
