A rough start

real rough animatic outlining story about applying to the old world. trying to work out a collaborative process to document so memories from the old world. apology for the below script. I have taken on a robot co writer but we are not always sure what is going on and it is hard to find good work these days. So until it can find a capable replacement it is stuck with me!
EXT. THE OLD WORLD DOJO - DAY

Ratboy stands on the roof of the dojo, looking down at the courtyard below. Suddenly, WhiteLikePaste appears and calls out to him.

NARRATOR (V.O.): It was just another day in The Old World, and I was about to learn a valuable lesson about rules and etiquette.

WHITELIKEPASTE: Hey! You're trespassing!

Ratboy mishears this as "test passing," and thinks it's time for his application to the realm.

RATBOY: Oh, yes! It's time for my test passing!

NARRATOR (V.O.): I was excited to take on this challenge, but little did I know that it would lead to a series of events that would change my Minecraft life forever.

As Ratboy starts to perform his monologue, Mama, the loving but sometimes gruff server mom, RescueLynn, who will save you even in the most dangerous and precarious situations, and POS princess, the fun-loving mayor of the capital, arrive in the courtyard one by one.

MAMA: What's going on here?

RESCUELYNN: Why are you staring up at the roof, White?

PRINCESS: Has anyone seen my bow?

NARRATOR (V.O.): Mama, RescueLynn, and POS princess were curious about Ratboy's antics, but little did they know that trouble was brewing.

WhiteLikePaste explains the situation to Mama and RescueLynn, while Ratboy continues his monologue, rambeling incoherantly about his experiences playing Minecraft.

PRINCESS: (looking at BlackLightning) Have you seen my bow?

BLACKLIGHTNING: (gruffly) No, I haven't.

NARRATOR (V.O.): BlackLightning was a tough guy, but he had a heart of gold. And little did he know that he was about to become a hero.

Suddenly, BlackLightning looks at the bow in his hand.

BLACKLIGHTNING: Wait a minute, here it is.

NARRATOR (V.O.): And just like that, he saved the day.

BlackLightninginspects the bow. He then looks up at Ratboy on the roof and takes aim.

BLACKLIGHTNING: (to himself) This should help with the entity lag.

He fires an arrow at Ratboy, who keels over and rolls off the roof, landing in the courtyard with a thud.

MAMA: (concerned) Is he okay?

RESCUELYNN: (sarcastic) Looks like he passed the falling test.

NARRATOR (V.O.): I had learned a valuable lesson about following rules and etiquette. But little did I know that this was just the beginning of my Minecraft adventure.

BlackLightning walks over to the group, still holding the bow.

BLACKLIGHTNING: I found your bow, Princess.

PRINCESS: (grinning) Oh, thanks!

NARRATOR (V.O.): And just like that, the day was saved, and I had learned a valuable lesson. But little did I know that he was about to embark on a journey that would change my Minecraft life forever.

I awoke in the old world to a startle realizing he had been detained in a prison cell.

WHITE: Fill out the application form on Discord and watch the Getting Started in The Old World video on YouTube. And don't forget to watch the rules and etiquette video THEN FOLLOW the rules and etiquette.

MAMA: (gruffly) Especially the part about floating trees.

RESCUELYNN: (brandishing her shovel menacingly) And I'll be watching you closely.

NARRATOR (V.O.): And just like that I was an Oldie. No body ever did figure out how i got there or what caused all the lag. but i think what i really learned that day was... dont leave floating trees!
