Aurora Timelapse taken from Derbyshire / midlands, UK. During May 2024.
Initially just green Aurora (oxygen lower energy excitation) Barely visible to the naked eye but something was clearly there when imaging and becoming more visible... but then flairs up starting about 24 seconds into the time lapse.
Never expected to see such a display this far south with strong pink/red aurora (higher altitude highly excited oxygen) and some purples on some shots from nitrogen electron excitation... Much of these colours were pretty naked eye visible especially the pinks with the higher energies later on.
What an amazing experience.
