This grill cover comes in a fabric drawstring bag. It is lightweight and weighs less than 1 lb. Folded up, it measures 8” long x 12” wide x 5” thick. The grill cover itself is made of the same material as the storage bag, which is a 600D woven polyester fabric, similar to a light rain jacket. The material is thin and a tiny bit stiff but flexible. On the inside is a silver PVC coated lining which makes the material UV resistant and weather-proof. Along the bottom hem is a drawstring cord with a cinch to help you adjust the size of the cover and secure it once it’s over your grill. The size of the cover when fully open is quite large at 67” long x 24” wide x 46” inches tall and it has tapered sides on the left and right for a trapezoidal shape. Folding the cover up is as simply as rolling it into a ball so that it will fit back into the carrying case.

Our Weber grill is 50” long x 16” wide x 42” tall, so this cover will be a bit oversized, however, this allows it to fit over the grill pretty easily. After covering the grill, cinch the cord to make sure the cover doesn’t blow away in the wind. While it does puff up a bit as it catches some air, the cover stays securely in place. To test the waterproof ability, we sprayed the cover directly with the hose, and the water just rolls off the surface. Taking a peek underneath the cover, the grill is completely dry afterward and none of the water penetrated the cover. Even after a heavy storm, the cover keeps the grill clean and dry which is exactly what we need it to do. Although, it’s a bit big for our grill it’s still able to get the job done and cost only a fraction of what the Weber made-to-fit cover costs.
