At least seven people have been hit by a car in New York City after it was believed to have been driven into an immigration protest.
A group of roughly 50 people had gathered in Manhattan to express solidarity with immigrant detainees on hunger strike when the car is said to have driven through.
A law-enforcement source has said the driver of the car is a 52-year-old woman with a New York State drivers licence but not from New York City.
