Latitude 75° South is a cinematic chillout album inspired by voyages across the Southern Ocean, through the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and the frozen coasts of Antarctica. This two-hour ambient journey blends field-inspired soundscapes, deep oceanic drones, and glacial harmonies — music for reflection, focus, and exploration.

Each track unfolds like a chapter in an Antarctic expedition. The opening pieces carry the anticipation of departure from Ushuaia, the turbulence of the Drake Passage, and the relief of finding calm seas. Midway, the mood deepens at the ruins of Grytviken, once a bustling whaling station, now a ghostly monument to endurance and history. As the voyage continues, shimmering tones, slow rhythms, and haunting melodies evoke the vast silence of South Georgia’s peaks and the endless white horizon beyond.

🧭 About the Journey

This album is part of the Trampy Chill Travel Series, inspired by a 22-day voyage to this rarely visited part of the world with ‪@NatGeo‬ and Lindblad‪@Expeditions‬ aboard the National Geographic Explorer. Created while following routes between Ushuaia, South Georgia, and the Antarctic Peninsula, each track reflects moments of awe, danger, and beauty. From the courage of Shackleton’s crew to the song of the orcas beneath the ice, every sound echoes with history and wonder.

Filmed while cruising through Wilhelmina Bay, Antarctia
The image of Trampy and his new friend wrapped in bathrobes is inspired by an experience we had on the NatGeo Explorer, very near to where this background footage was filmed.
Most of the passengers on this ship participated in the POLAR PLUNGE.
Jumping off a Zodiac into the freezing Antarctic water.
When you get out of the water, you get a shot of vodka and a Polar Plunge patch.
(You can see the patches on the table next to the teapot.)
Relaxing with a warm beverage after doing something absolutely incredible (and possibly insane).
