DIY Underbust Corset/ How To Sew A Busk

I am finally bringing you a lace underbust corset tutorial. I transform deadstock lace fabric into a vintage inspired underbust corset. I bring you a step by step sewing tutorial on how to sew a steel busk. I made a sewing pattern available for digital download in my Etsy shop available in many sizes. Such a fun DIY, you can create your own lace corset. I hope this tutorial is sew easy to follow!

BUSTIER CORSET SUPPLIES: (Lace & Elastic is from FABSCRAP)
Fabric: 2 yds Ridgid Lace, 1/2 yd Lining (1yard making bias tape), 1/2 yd Bridal Nylon Net (different from tulle)

-1/4" spiral bones 11yard roll $13.95, bone caps pack 24 $4.50
*have bones, and boning caps, grommets, underwires
1 set of 34A-34D underwires (take from an old bra)
Plush Bra Underwire Casing 1yd (BiasBespoke etsy shop)
6yds 3/8" ribbon for grommet lacing
10" Steel Busk (BiasBespoke etsy shop)
3yds 1/2" decorative twill tape or ribbon (also make your own bias tape)
-2 yards ruffle or lace trim for hem finishes or use bias tape
1 yd 1/4" foldover trim (also make your own bias tape)

BONE CUTTERS
Wiss 8" Wire Cutter- available at Home Depot $9
