Episode 2: Thousand Island Lake to Lyell Canyon (2024)

Hello again Friends,
Marcus, Thomas and I decided to backpack one of my favorite sections on the JMT from Agnew Meadows in Mammoth Mountain to Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park.
In this episode, we begin our second day at Thousand Island Lake and hiking up and over Donohue Pass and into to Lyell Canyon for our second night in Yosemite.

Distance: 30.27 mi / 48.71 km
Elevation Gain: 4757 ft / 1449 m
Starting: Agnew Meadows
Ending: Tuolumne Meadows
