TOMY Plarail 3 pack N700, C62-2 and EF200 Unboxing review and first run

Hi all I got this on ebay for about $65 delivered, it usually sells for over $90 so i was quick to snap it up. This is the kind of thing we just don't get in Australia but i am sure they are plentiful in Asian countries.

The pack features 3 locomotives and their respective trains so what i will do here is give a short review of each one.

N700 N1 is the first one i will cover, it opens from the bottom to fit the battery which is a AA battery. this train is fast! possibly the fastest standard train I own one day i will have to race them all. it tracks very well on its high speed setting and it is a 2 speed locomotive. It is the fastest of the 3 trains in todays video. In real life this train can travel 300km/h (180mph). The train consists of its own 3 car set.

C62 2 is the 2nd train I have with red traction rods and that is the main difference from the regular C62 that i have seen on ebay, the smoke deflectors also feature a silver bird thats flying. it has great detail throughout with copper color piping on one side and the locomotive is permanently coupled to the tender, it also has the head lamp that functions and that is a great feature. The tender is longer than the other similar trains I have and there seems to be a speaker grille underneath to fit perhaps a sound systems speaker this model does not have sound though. it does require a C size battery as the front is too light to get around the corners with a AA battery. The engine comes with a conventional brown coach, Great engine this.

EF200 is the last train i will talk about here, it features something that none of my other trains has and that is the High power motor feature. this seems to be a rather recent thing TOMY have done in releasing this type of drive unit, it takes allot to make this one click and skip gears it can pull allot of weight too. I am limited to how much weight can be pulled on my layout by the large number of corners. it is a very modern looking locomotive and takes it power from overhead wires in real life. the locomotive comes with 2 freight cars that hold shipping containers and I think they look great and i will be buying more in the future. A very powerful engine that looks great!!
