Liga Nacional Tenerife - Task 5!!!! - 55 km - Goal
5 out of 5 tasks, exceptionally good in both of these competitions in Tenerife. In addition, I had 3 more very nice free flying days… Tenerife really delivered outstanding conditions this season, good, very good, argument to come back for more.
Today’s task, with Calima weather and south easterly wind predicted was cleverly designed around the corner of Ifonche and Roc de Conde, towards East to another flying area called Joma.
It was a completely new area for me, I am quite happy to have discovered it within a comp.
Before start I was progressing quite nicely together with a yellow Enzo and a blue Zeno to try to get higher along the terrain.. I have chickened out, the terrain clearance was quite low over the plateau and I did not dare to get further and land there. It was a mistake as, 10 minutes before start, I was searching low, around Ifonche, while the gaggle was at 2000m over the plateau.
From there it was a nice flight, I focused to do my own flying while keeping high.
I am quite happy I made it in good time in goal, to finish this competition with a good taste!
