Some of the interesting things that we've caught recently in Bernalillo, New Mexico is AMTK 9700, a P42C or Cab Car. 9700 live a previous life as AMTK 184, the Phase IV heritage unit.
The new Phase IV heritage unit also passed through Bernalillo recently.
Track upgrades on the Glorieta and Raton Subdivisions are ongoing and we catch an MOW train carrying preassembled switches to Blanchard.
PV's are becoming scarce, but we got Pacific Sands and Tioga Pass.
We caught another cab car, AMTK 90222, a rare site.
Finally, AMKT 203, the Operation Life Saver unit came through today, January 23, 2026 with two deadhead Metro Link cars headed for Wisconsin to be refurbished.
