Mount Shuksan Climb - Washington State

Mount Shuksan is an iconic massif in the North Cascades of Washington State. Its striking beauty has made it one of the most photographed mountains in the world. The summit rises above tree line higher than any other nonvolcanic peak in the Pacific Northwest. Its name is derived by the native American (Lummi tribe) name of šéqsən which means "high peak". In this video we take the classic Sulphide Glacier route to the summit, navigating massive glaciers before scaling the jagged rock pinnacle known as the “pyramid”. Many regard Mount Shuksan as having no equal and a mountain you must experience in person to fully appreciate its beauty and grandeur.
