Finally - after weeks of finding a solution for this weird and frustrating USB issue - I found a solution!
This video is about a 'USB isolator' based on the ADUM3165 chip.
It's still pretty rare to find one with this chip, but if you look for 'ADUM3165' on e.g. eBay, Amazon or AliExpress, you will find some.
Just make sure it's actually with a ADUM3165, by checking that is specifically says that it supports the maxiumum transfer speed of 480 Mbps.
The ADUM3160 or ADUM4160 just support devices up to 12 Mbps!
