STORYLINE:
South Korean President Lee Myung-bak welcomed visiting Romanian President Traian Basescu in Seoul on Wednesday, as part of an official two day state visit.
Basescu was welcomed with a formal honour guard, before taking part in bilateral meetings with a South Korean delegation.
South Korean news agency Yonhap reported the two presidents adopted a joint declaration of a strategic partnership following the meeting.
They agreed to deepen cooperation in Romania's planned expansion of social, energy and information technology infrastructures, the agency said.
