“We are very much aware of the big danger of radical Islamist ideology—it’s very important that we fight it together”: European Parliament Delegation for Relations with Israel visits the Knesset

The Inter-Parliamentary Meeting (IPM) of the Knesset Delegation for Relations with the European Parliament with its counterpart from the European Parliament dealt mainly with the war in Gaza, the chances for the success of the deal brokered by President Trump and the relations between Israel and the European Union.

Chair of the European Parliament's Delegation for Relations with Israel, MEP Hildegard Bentele: “We want to be a constructive partner in creating peace in the region. We are very much aware of the big danger of radical Islamist ideology—we talked about it very plainly, that it’s very important that we fight it together.”

Chair of the Knesset Delegation for Relations with the European Parliament, MK Ariel Kallner: “We had a very good conversation about the challenges we both have in Israel and the European Union. We will protect our values and bring prosperity to our nations.”
