How to beat High Wire very easily in GTA Vice City Stories for PPSSPP Mobile

High Wire:

Many people struggle with this mission because most of us aren't comfortable with the flying controls, especially for the PSP version because of the lacking second analog stick and also because of the last sequence which involves chasing after a car in the roads of the Vice Beach area which requires us to fly the heli very low, avoid oncoming traffic, light poles & concrete traffic signal pillars and also because of the necessity of flying in a precise angle in which we can attach the magnet to the car's roof while it is being chased and shot at by the bikers.

Flying is probably my most favorite mode of transportation in any open world game because of the freedom it offers, to go anywhere you want considerably quickly and also because it gives you a different view or perspective of the masterfully constructed sandboxes made by the passionate developers.

So what I suggest to do, to anyone who finds it hard to fly is to change your primary mode of getting around the map, i.e. start using and flying a helicopter more frequently to get used to the controls as opposed to driving a land vehicle all the time, be it for missions or for free roaming.

The first part of this mission requires us to retrieve a container from an impound lot. There is no countdown timer so take as much time as you need to get familiar with flying the heli with and without a load. Be careful not to damage the heli too much while ascending down to get the container. The helicopter will start gaining altitude more slowly while it is carrying an object, the magnet crane also swings a lot from side to side if you fly past a structure and the object you are carrying hits it.

For the second part of the mission, fly towards Benny's Restaurant, you know that unused ship near Starfish Island, yup that one. There is some open space where you can land the heli. Then get off the heli and run towards the road where the flatbed is coming and then equip a flamethrower, molotov or a sniper rifle. When the truck is coming near you, use your preferred weapon of choice to kill the driver. The mission won't fail if the truck gets destroyed so if it is still intact, get in the vehicle and drive to the roadside clearing where your heli is parked. Fly the heli and attach the magnet to the container.

Sometimes the flatbed may take another route to get to the police station so keep track of its direction using the pause menu map. Fun fact: If you drive the truck with the container to the police station, the mission will fail and you will die after the mission fail screen text if you are inside the vehicle because the vehicle is scripted to despawn after the mission, regardless of whether you pass it or not. The Flatbed also has Triple Damage so it kind of acts like a Heavy vehicle, so have some fun ramming cars or peds along the way.

Once you drop off the second container, the timer for the last sequence starts, so time is of the essence here. Quickly start flying towards the place near the Vice Beach police station where the roads join. At the crossroads, hover the heli above the road with the magnet about a car's height from the pavement. Wait for the Sentinel XS to arrive and when it gets closer, keep hovering and attach the magnet on to the car's roof when it goes under the heli. Once attached, immediately ascend at a safe height to evade the bikers on foot who are shooting the car. Then while flying towards the parking lot, be wary of the buildings and try not to crash into any of them.

You could also do this last part the hard way by going towards the marker and upon getting close, flying close to the road and following the car with the bikers chasing after it. This is not an easy task to achieve especially positioning the heli before the car for it to get attached to the magnet and doing all of this while both are in motion.
